Jerson was born in "The Pearl of the Andes" in Tarma, Junin Peru, a city known for its clean and fresh air climate with the most stunning views of the world's most beautiful Andes mountains.
In 2015, Jerson was invited to the Fruit Logistica World Food Exhibition in Berlin, Germany..While working there, it came to his attention that NASA was using Quinoa and Maca for the astronauts being sent into space.
That’s when he found out that the strongest Maca, one of the most powerful organic superfoods in the world, was being grown in his hometown in Tarma Junin by his relatives dating back to the Incan times.
The demand for this unique superfood treasure, his family’s roots, and knowledge of the family farmers led to the creation of PERUFRESH.

The Company
Peru has become a major player on the global agriculture stage. Peru is one of the ten most biodiverse countries in the world having 84 of the 117 planet life zones.
Climate and soil conditions along the Peruvian soil contribute favorably to the best produce growth. Modern agricultural techniques, as well as irrigation by the drip or aspersion systems used in many of our plantations enable our producers to make optimal use of water and fertilizers.
PeruFresh members receive regular assessments on cultivation, harvest, post-harvest techniques and the application of Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) from a team of local and foreign Agricultural Engineers. Special attention is given to the efficient use of natural resources and protection of the environment.
Our produce division is sourced from Global-gap certified farms and packhouses are HACCP Certified, commodities are SGS certified for quality adherence before delivery. PeruFresh handles and meets strict international standards for good agricultural practices (GAPs) and good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
Certificates of Conformity follow Global Standards of Food Safety and have been audited by international certifying organizations such as SENASA, Certificate of Origin, USDA Organic, Fair Trade, E.U Organic, JAS, Euro GAP, Global GAP, CMI and HACCP.

Production, Harvest, and Agricultural Practices

Peru is one of the ten most biodiverse countries in the world having 84 of the 117 planet life zones. Due to its ecological diversity, Peru has the advantage that most crops can be planted year-round. With more than 8 million hectares available for crop cultivation, Peru has become a major player on the global agriculture stage. Climate and soil conditions along the Peruvian soil contribute favorably to the best produce growth. Modern agricultural techniques, as well as irrigation by the drip or aspersion systems used in many of our plantations enable our producers to make optimal use of water and fertilizers.
